Bleaching Methods & Steps
1.
Pre-Whitening:
- Before
each bleaching treatment, always brush and floss.
This allows for a clean contact with gel. Do not
use mouthwash.
2.
Application:
- Apply
one drop of gel to each tooth being bleached. This
drop is small and compared to the size of a match
head.
3.
Wearing bleaching trays:
- Once
the gel is in the tray, place tray over teeth. Softly
rub along tray to spread gel within. Wipe off any
excess gel that may arise from tray. Wear your trays
for at least 1-2 hours. If sensitivity occurs, reduce
time.
- 10%
gel may be worn overnight if preferred
4.
Post-Whitening:
- At
the end of each treatment, remove trays and brush
teeth softly with warm water. This will remove any
residual gel. Do not use toothpaste, floss, or mouthwash.
5.
Caring for trays:
- After
each treatment, use cold water to wash trays. Hot
water will damage your trays.
- If
further cleaning is required, use cotton swab gently.
- Store
trays away from heat and sunlight. Using protective
case is recommended.
6.
Caring for gel:
- Refrigerating
gel is preferred, but do not freeze.
